The fast-track project was completed in 64 days and included fast-track scheduling and coordination, Lean construction strategies and methods, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The project included offices, 22 exam rooms, 6 injection rooms, Ophthalmic lab rooms, conference rooms, break room with a full kitchen, bathrooms, and waiting rooms. We installed new concrete, casework, insulation, joint sealants, fire stopping, roofing, storefront, aluminum paneling, EIFS, doors, automatic doors, flooring, walls, ceilings, HVAC system, plumbing, fire sprinkler, electrical, and fire alarm.
The demolition consisted of a 50×16 foot exterior wall and overhead door replacement, along with new framed masonry and windows. A vestibule addition was built at the entrance of the suite. Extensive slab demolition/replacement took place to facilitate the new under slab plumbing required by the client’s floor plan. Because of the schedule constraints, Brycon and its team of subcontractors worked in 12-18 hour shifts, seven days a week.
